Being in such an active city gave Penny the fuel to succeed, and made her super, super sociable. Penny finds it incredibly easy to make friends, approach strangers, and even do errands for random people. When you first meet Penny you notice how gorgeous she is but you'll also recognize her feisty wit and raw intelligence. Living with two very hippie parents that also studied medicine has made her very knowledgeable about anything science - and has also given her a weird outlook on life, plus a one up on getting into the medical field. Penny is very sarcastic, rarely serious (unless the time permits her to be), vivacious, saucy, and could tell a good joke or two if you asked her. Penny has an affinity for vodka, specifically the harsh Russian kind; she's not that big of a drinker, but once you get her started, she's horrible to get to stop. Penny is against the eating of beef, pork and chicken but will gladly scarf down some Sushi (this was something she picked up from her Mother as a child). The Biography » As a child, Penny was raised by science loving hippies that taught her to appreciate life and everyone that you met along the way. Penny's Mother, Heather, was a nurse at Hollywood Community Hospital for over 20 years; her Father, Tom, is a tenured Doctor of Physiology at the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine. Both of her parents are very spiritual people, not affiliated with any specific religion. All through High School (Hollywood High) Penny excelled in science courses, and eventually graduated at the top of her class. She was awarded a scholarship to UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine, which was no surprise to her highly scientific family, but a shock to her. Penny soon found herself submerged in studying Psychiatry and Biobehavioral Sciences Clinical Psychology, as well as Pediatrics/Pre-Natals. Penny graduated UCLA School of Medicine, ranked number two in her class, and was readily accepted to complete her Residency at Semel Institute, Department of Psychiatry. She focused on Child and Adolescents, as well as Pediatrics/Pre-Natals. During her residency at Semel, Penny fell madly in love with the Head of Pediatrics, Dr. John Calliss. Their affair was secretive through most of Penny's residency but later on, after three years of being together, they moved in with one another. After four years, John and Penny tried for a child of their own because Penny loved children and John was in his prime already. Sadly, in her last year of residency, Penny had a miscarriage and gained horrible depression over it; eventually leaving John behind. She just couldn't stand to look in his eyes and see his disappointment that she couldn't carry his child. Taking the offer from Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hopsital, Penny moved from Hollywood to Princeton, New Jersey in order to move on in her life and her profession. Currently Penny works in the Psychiatry department of PPTH, and focuses her attentions mostly in Children/Adolescents (Pediatrics, Pre-Natal).
